Bryce SchintziusAfter a Google search, Bryce Schintzius came to Kurukulla Center in June, 2006, shortly after finishing his undergraduate degree in Business. Bryce attended a "Buddhism in a Nutshell" class one fateful Tuesday evening, and the rest is history! He became a devoted student of our dear, late teacher, Geshe Tsulga, and has had the great fortune to encounter many other wonderful lamas and teachers through the years at both Kurukulla Center and Milarepa Center, our sister FPMT center in Vermont. Bryce is an enthusiastic supporter of House 2A at Sera Jey, south India, the residence of a group of monks originating from Kham, Tibet, who are Geshe Tsulga's and Geshe Tenley's students and brother monks. He has visited Sera Jey on three occasions. Bryce is tremendously grateful to Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche for creating the opportunity for him to encounter the Dharma fifteen years ago and the opportunity to serve as Center Director from February 2021 to March 2022. During the day, Bryce owns a wealth management and tax planning business in Boston. |

Sean González - Center Director (CEO)Sean joined Kurukulla Center in 2004 and quickly became an integral part of our community. His interest in developing community-driven initiatives motivated him to coordinate large center events, like the Elderhostel "Day of Discovery" programmes, the Maitreya Project Relics Tour visits, and a Center visit by His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in 2012. These events energized our community into high-gear participation and have greatly expanded Kurukulla's reach to a broader audience. Sean was Center Director from 2012 - 2021, resuming in 2022, and was Assistant Center Director at all other times. |

Wendy Cook - PresidentWendy was traveling in Thailand in 1987 when her boyfriend broke up with her and she took refuge at a forest monastery for a 10-day silent Vipassan meditation retreat. Within a couple of months she was in India listening to teachings with His Holiness the Dalai Lama and a few months later met Lama Zopa Rinpoche while in Bodhgaya. After returning from her travels in Asia she very quickly found herself living and working at Tara Institute, the large FPMT center in Melbourne. There she was encouraged to learn how to be a chant leader at puja chanting practices. After meeting Dr Nick Ribush she moved from Australia to Boston in 1993 to work at Wisdom Publications. After a few years Nick began the Lama Yeshe Wisdom Archive and she helped establish that project. She's been an active member of Kurukulla Center since 1993 and served as Center Director from 2002-2008. She is a yoga and Alexander Technique and volunteers in domestic rabbit rescue. In her free time she loves to garden. |
