Kurukulla Center's goal is to help others through
offering pure Buddhist teachings and activities
in a setting which nurtures participants' spiritual
growth and development. The Center is an all volunteer
organization and as such, relies entirely on your
support for our existence. Each year your generosity
enables Geshe Tsulga to remain here as resident teacher,
supports Geshe-la's attendant Ngawang, and supports
our resident translator Damchoe. It allows the Center
to host
a variety of
visiting
teachers,
classes and other activities for the benefit of all
in the Boston area.
We are also very fortunate to have had a permanent
home for Kurukulla Center in Medford since June 2001.
Our monthly expenses range between $7,000 - 8,000
which covers expenses such as mortgage, building
insurance, utilities, newsletters, etc.
Kurukulla Center was incorporated in the state of Massachusetts in 1990, and qualifies as a tax exempt not-for-profit corporation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. All of your contributions are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law. Also, please check with your employer to see if they have a matching gift program so that your contribution can be matched.
In addition to creating the possibility for Kurukulla Center and Geshe Tsulga
to continue to remain and thrive in Boston, your membership and donations
come with additional benefits as an expression of thanks to you for your generosity
and support. Different levels of membership are offered, as explained below.
You may become a member, or make a donation of any amount, by credit card
or check. All members receive Mandala
Magazine.
